According to plans, the Changsha project is expected to become operational in 2026 and will attract over 700 leading cold chain food industry enterprises. Currently, business recruitment has fully commenced, receiving significant attention from upstream and downstream industry enterprises, with a notable increase in enquiries, appointments, and visits with great market response.
At the "2025 Hunan-Guangdong Hong Kong0Macao Greater Bay Economic and Trade Cooperation Week", Yuhu Cold Chain, as a representative of Hong Kong enterprise investment in Hunan, became a focus for media. Xinhua News pointed out in a themed report that the Yuhu Cold Chain (Changsha) Trading Centre will introduce an innovative online trading and offline fulfillment (OMO) service model, accelerating the circulation efficiency of local agricultural products and pre-prepared meal, deeply integrating into the domestic and international dual-circulation development pattern, comprehensively strengthening the cold chain food supply security line, and injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
In an interview, Zuo Zhisong, General Manager of Yuhu Cold Chain Changsha, stated that as an international cold chain food trading base in the central-south region, the Changsha facility will provide upstream and downstream partners with full-chain integrated services including source procurement, supply chain finance, smart warehousing and logistics, cross-border settlement, auctions, and e-commerce. These services will help merchants achieve efficient fulfilment and delivery, supporting Hunan and Changsha's goals to "buy globally and sell globally."
Prospective merchants visiting the facility expressed: "The Changsha project is very attractive to us because it is the largest and most technologically advanced cold chain food trading hub in the central-south region. Its intelligent management and full-process temperature control system can help us solve the long-standing issue of food material wastage, while its one-stop service can greatly improve our efficiency and reduce operating costs."
In the future, Yuhu Cold Chain will play a leading role in deeply integrating into the construction of a unified national market, continuously empowering industry upgrades through digital transformation and business model innovation. Meanwhile, it will actively promote the alignment of domestic supply-side food with international standards, providing replicable and scalable practical models in reducing cold chain logistics costs, optimising industrial and supply chain international cooperation layouts, and enhancing food safety assurance. At the regional development level, the Changsha facility will drive the gathering of upstream and downstream enterprises to form an industry cluster worth tens of billions of yuan, providing strong support for the cold chain supply chain in the central-south region, building an efficient channel for agricultural products to "go out" and global commodities to "come in," contributing to the construction of a modern circulation system.
