On June 20, during the "Invest in Chengdu" Global Investment Promotion Conference, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Executive Director Margaret Fong led the Global Chief Delegation to Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Centre. The visit focused on Yuhu Cold Chain's strategic layout, innovative business model, and the prospects for economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and Hong Kong.

Wang Haibo, Deputy Secretary of the Qingbaijiang District Committee and District Mayor, along with officials from Chengdu's Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, participated in the discussions.
Wang Jun, Vice President of Yuhu Cold Chain and Chairman of the Chengdu branch, presented the development journey, operational model, and future plans of Yuhu Cold Chain Chengdu Park to the delegation. He highlighted how Yuhu Cold Chain leverages its resource advantages to create an Online-Merge-Offline (OMO) model, offering merchants fully customized, one-stop supply chain solutions. This system complements HKTDC's strengths in cross-border trade services. In the future, both parties plan to collaborate to help Sichuan enterprises and brands expand into international markets.
Margaret Fong praised the operational achievements, innovative model, and progress of Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Centre since its launch. She noted that the company's innovative approach has opened new pathways for the frozen goods industry to undergo digital transformation and optimize supply chain systems. Fong emphasized that HKTDC, with its 51 global offices, will fully utilize its network resources to deepen cooperation with high-quality companies like Yuhu Cold Chain and enhance their influence in global supply chain systems.
Representatives from Spain, Poland, Chile, and Mexico in the delegation also expressed their willingness to collaborate. They highlighted the abundant high-quality frozen goods resources in their respective countries and regions and hoped to utilize Yuhu Cold Chain's nationwide cold chain food supply platform to access the Chinese market, facilitating efficient resource-to-market connections.
This visit marks a new phase of Sichuan-Hong Kong cooperation in the cold chain industry. Both sides will use the Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Centre as a hub to jointly create a new chapter of "Hong Kong services + Sichuan manufacturing + global markets."
As a core enterprise under Yuhu Group, Yuhu Cold Chain has strategically established digital cold chain food trading centres nationwide. Located near the Chengdu Rail Port, Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Centre collaborates closely with the China-Europe Railway Express. The trading centre features internationally standardized digital cold storage facilities with a capacity of over 280,000 tons, supporting full-temperature storage from -60°C to 18°C. It also offers exhibition services, bonded warehousing, cross-border e-commerce, and supply chain financing. The park has attracted more than 600 enterprises to date.
With its intelligent temperature control system, end-to-end traceability, and multimodal transport network, the park ensures the efficient supply of premium imported foods, such as beef and salmon, directly to dining tables. It also empowers local specialties like Sichuan-style ready-to-eat meals to expand into overseas markets, with products successfully exported to the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Since its launch in November 2024, the park has achieved a cold chain food import-export value exceeding 2.4 billion RMB, handling approximately 400,000 tons of goods and serving over 30 countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
Through its innovative model and comprehensive service system, Yuhu Cold Chain is actively building a global industrial cooperation platform, revitalizing the cold chain food circulation in China's central and western regions, and driving high-quality industrial development. This effort plays a key role in Chengdu's aim to establish a globally connected cold chain trade ecosystem.
