Leading the Way, Connecting Today:
Jiujiang’s Signature Goods Enter the Bay
Jiujiang, a city steeped in history and blessed with abundant resources, enjoys an excellent ecological environment with rich mountains, forests, and lakes. As a key hub along the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Jiujiang has long been a commercial powerhouse, once named among China’s “Three Great Tea Markets and Four Great Rice Markets,” and has deep agricultural roots. This matchmaking fair aligns with the national push for agricultural modernization, aiming to supply Jiujiang’s premium agricultural products directly to the Bay Area and tap into new value-added opportunities.

Xiong Jinxi, Vice Mayor of Jiujiang,
Xiong Jinxi, Vice Mayor of Jiujiang, remarked in his address:
“Jiujiang is not only an ecological treasure trove but also a new highland for industrial revitalization. Currently, Jiujiang has established nine national-level strong agricultural towns and 135 leading enterprises at or above the provincial level, with the gross output of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries surpassing 46.9 billion yuan—ranking second in Jiangxi Province for growth. From field to table, we use ‘Jiujiang Specialties to the Bay’ as a bridge, having promoted eight ‘Shenzhen Certified Products (known as “Zhenpin” in Chinese, a mark of quality for Shenzhen’s premium agricultural goods)’ certifications and established a 1-billion-yuan strong agricultural industrial investment fund to support industrial upgrading and new productive forces in agriculture. Taking this event as an opportunity, Jiujiang will deepen collaboration with the Bay Area through a ‘direct supply from origin + efficient direct sales in the Bay Area’ model, leveraging Yuhu Cold Chain’s hub function to enhance the quality and efficiency of our four major featured industries—tea, aquatic products, oilseeds, and poultry & eggs—revitalizing our thousand-year-old ‘tea and rice hub’.”

Zheng Min, Party Secretary of Jiangxi Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Center
Zheng Min, Party Secretary of Jiangxi Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Center, stated:
“As a major agricultural province, Jiangxi has recently become a top choice for investment. Jiujiang’s entry into the Bay Area is a key step for Jiangxi’s agricultural products to go beyond the province. We will continue to integrate Jiangxi’s agri-product supply chain, connect with Bay Area market resources, and, leveraging the Yuhu Cold Chain Jiangxi Pavilion’s platform, make Jiujiang a benchmark for Jiangxi’s high-quality agri-products in cross-regional operations by advancing production, sales, logistics, supply, and foreign trade together.”

Song Xiaoyu, Party Secretary of Jiujiang Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs
Song Xiaoyu, Party Secretary of Jiujiang Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, emphasized:
“Jiujiang, benefiting from both the Yangtze River and Poyang Lake, has unique agricultural resources, a solid development foundation, and strong growth momentum. In 2024, our agricultural output increased by 4.3%, ranking among the top three in Jiangxi for three consecutive years. Jiujiang leads the province with 4.72 million mu of water area, 1.46 million mu of aquaculture, and 700,000 mu of integrated rice-fish farming. Our aquatic products, teas, and other farm goods are a testament to our natural bounty and craftsmanship, renowned for their variety and quality. Jiujiang is fertile ground for cooperation, with strong brands, smooth channels, and ample opportunities—54 brands have been selected as “Jiangxi Certified Products” (officially known as “Ganpo Zhengpin” in Chinese, denoting certified authentic products from Jiangxi province). We look forward to working closely with Yuhu Cold Chain to bring more of Jiujiang’s premium agri-products into the Bay Area.”
