On August 27, the “On-site Meeting for Societal Support in the Three-Year Initial Results Battle of the ‘Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project’” was held in Jieyang City. The event combined site visit with a symposium. As the first stop of the visit Zeng Fengbao, Party Secretary of the Jieyang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Standing Committee of Jieyang People’s Congress, along with meeting representatives, observed the upgraded and renovated Huashan East Road project, donated by Yuhu Cold Chain, and then visited the Yuhu Cold Chain (Jieyang) Trading Centre. This marks the second time in less than a month that an on-site meeting for the Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project has taken place at the Yuhu Cold Chain (Jieyang) Trading Centre. The previous event, held on July 31, was titled the “On-site Meeting for Appearance Improvement and Human Settlements Management in the Three-Year Initial Results Battle of the ‘Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project’”. During that meeting, Zeng Fengbao and other delegates also carried out a visit of the park.

During the on-site visit, the Branding Department of Yuhu Cold Chain presented a comprehensive report detailing the development, operational progress, and phased achievements of the Yuhu Cold Chain (Jieyang) Trading Centre in supporting the “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project”. As Yuhu Cold Chain’s second investment project in Guangdong Province and a key initiative at both provincial and municipal levels, the Trading Centre’s southern vegetable trading area commenced trial operations at the end of May, the occupancy rate reached 100% on its opening day. The entire southern section is scheduled to be fully operational by November 30, with the complete park expected to commence full operations in the second half of 2026. Covering an area of 315,000 sqm (approximately 31.5 hectares), the project integrates multiple functions including fresh agricultural product distribution, international cold chain food trading, Chaoshan specialty food cultural experiences, cold chain food processing, and smart warehousing and logistics. As a crucial implementation channel for Jieyang’s “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project”, Yuhu Cold Chain (Jieyang) Trading Centre has made significant contributions through several key initiatives. The establishment of a comprehensive smart trading centre has effectively addressed regional gaps in cold chain infrastructure. By leveraging its strengths as a multinational company, Yuhu has deeply engaged in rural revitalization efforts, partnering with Jieyang to build an international agricultural supply chain system that promotes local specialties, including Chaoshan beef balls, Puning tofu, Longjiang braised pork, and marinated dishes, in both domestic and global markets. Through innovative business models and technological applications, the park has enhanced agricultural product distribution efficiency since the vegetable section’s trial operation began. Since the commencement of trial operations in the vegetable section of the Jieyang Park on May 27, it has become an important distribution hub for vegetable trading in eastern Guangdong. By successfully reducing circulation loss by 50%, Yuhu has effectively lowered costs and improved efficiency for merchants, significantly boosted the scale and quality of market transactions, and enhanced regional economic competitiveness. Furthermore, the company has consistently practiced corporate social responsibility by contributing to local development. Over the years, under the leadership of its founder, patriotic entrepreneur Mr. Huang Xiangmo, Yuhu Group has actively fulfilled its social responsibilities, with cumulative donations reaching RMB 300 million across various fields in China, including culture, education, and public security.

Subsequently, a symposium was convened to review and summarize the phased achievements of the project. During the meeting, certificates of appreciation were presented to entrepreneurial representatives who have actively contributed to the “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project”. Zeng Fengbao attended the event and delivered a speech. Chen Dezhong, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Office for Reform and Development Commission and the Deputy Director of Command Office of the Provincial “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project”, was present to provide guidance.

This effort aims to elevate Chaoshan characteristic ingredients from being “fresh at origin” to “fresh worldwide,” enhancing their market value globally. In the domain of high-tech digitalization and intelligence, Yuhu is establishing a digital cold chain trading centre utilizing IoT and AI-powered scheduling technologies. By capitalizing on its Online-Merge-Offline (OMO) model that integrates online transactions with offline fulfillment and collaborating closely with local governments and industry partners, Yuhu is building a Digital Intelligent Supply Chain Community. This initiative not only ensures food safety but also supports the brand of “Jienong” in achieving standardization, branding, and global expansion. Huang emphasized that the “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project” is a foundational initiative with lasting impact, bringing tangible benefits for today and future generations. Yuhu Group and Yuhu Cold Chain will continue to dedicate all efforts, upholding the tradition of Jieyang enterprises and leveraging strengths as a multinational corporation to make even greater contributions to Jieyang’s “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project.”

The meeting thoroughly studied and implemented the guiding principles expressed during the tour of Jieyang by Huang Kunming, Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and closely aligned with the objectives of achieving “initial results within three years and significant transformation within five years.” On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Zeng Fengbao expressed sincere gratitude to the entrepreneurs for their long-term proactive commitment and dedication to giving back to their hometown by wholeheartedly supporting Jieyang’s “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project.” He emphasized that currently, all cadres and citizens in the city are united in purpose and working together to secure success in the critical battle for initial results within three years under the project, with continuously strengthening and improving development momentum. He expressed hope that entrepreneurs of Jieyang origin would give full play to the important role of social forces, actively demonstrate a sense of responsibility, and through societal engagement, practice the goal of common prosperity while sharing in the dividends of Jieyang’s development. He encouraged them to become role models in building a harmonious hometown, returning home to invest and establish businesses, benefiting local communities, and promoting the spirit of Jieyang entrepreneurs, working together with one heart and direction to help Jieyang’s “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project” stand out. Fengbao stressed that all localities and departments should enhance coordination and services, improve working mechanisms, foster an environment where “great things may be done by mass effort,” and fully ensure the effective implementation of the “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project.”

The meeting was presided over by Yao Lixuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Jieyang Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department.
