On September 11, the 4th Digital Warehouse Development Conference, hosted by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) and organized by its Digital Warehouse Branch and IoT Technology & Application Committee, was held in Beijing. The event brought together over a hundred industry leaders to discuss trends in how digital warehousing empowers supply chain and industrial chain development. Recognized for their active exploration and practical achievements in digital warehousing, Yuhu Cold Chain’s Changsha and Tianjin projects were selected as part of the tenth batch of the CFLP’s National Digital Warehouse Pilot Companies. Prior to this, Yuhu Cold Chain’s Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Meishan, Jieyang, and Xiangyang projects had already been included in the pilot program.

Cui Zhongfu, Chief Economist of the CFLP, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He emphasized that the development of China’s warehousing sector must grasp digitization as the “key link” to leverage warehouse data in empowering the digital and collaborative transformation of industrial and supply chains. The CFLP encourages and supports warehousing enterprises, research institutions, financial units, and other stakeholders in pursuing innovative practices regarding data application centered on digital warehouses. This includes advancing the use of electronic warehouse receipts, electronic waybills, electronic bills of lading, as well as applications in industrial internet, big data, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and block-chain. The goal is to explore new models for high-quality development of intelligent digital supply chains driven by warehouse data. Lyu Zhong, Secretary-General of the CFLP Digital Warehouse Branch, delivered a speech titled “Developing Digital Warehouses to Promote the Healthy Development of the Warehousing Industry—How the Warehousing Industry Can ‘Counter Involution’.” He elaborated on the development space and transformation directions for the warehousing industry within the context of current macro policies.

The event served as a high-end platform for industry exchange, cooperation, and experience sharing. Wang Gang, General Manager of the Digital Technology Development Department at Yuhu Cold Chain, represented the company and delivered a keynote speech titled “Case Study: Building a Five-Star Digital Warehouse in the Cold Chain Sector.” He shared how Yuhu Cold Chain achieves full-link temperature control in cold chain storage through digitalization and enables end-to-end traceability of cold chain food products via electronic warehouse receipts. “Technology is the core competitiveness of Yuhu Cold Chain,” Wang stated. “Our digital blueprint is customer-centric, establishing a full-stack system that spans from front-end display to back-end support. At the front end, unified mini-programs and apps provide customers with one-stop services. The middle layer relies on a dispatch platform and warehouse logistics system to streamline the entire fulfillment process. The back end, powered by a data platform and algorithm engine, acts as the ‘brain’ supporting intelligent decision-making.” He further emphasized that the core functions of Yuhu Cold Chain’s digital warehouse comprehensively cover order processing, warehouse management, transportation management, and cost calculation, enabling fully digitalized operations. This provides users with end-to-end visibility, traceability, and tracking, seamlessly connecting merchants, operations, and end customers to form a highly efficient and collaborative business closed loop.
