On the morning of September 21, the Business Support Policy Promotion Conference for Yuhu Cold Chain (Wuhan) Trading Centre, under the theme “Setting Sail from Central China, Connecting with the World,” was successfully held. The event brought together over 300 representatives from leading supply chain enterprises, traders, wholesalers, processors, and other merchants who have already signed contracts to settle in the Centre. As a key provincial and municipal project and the core project of Wuhan’s “National Trade-Service Logistics Hub,” Yuhu Cold Chain (Wuhan) Trading Centre is set to officially commence operations on September 27. The event received significant attention from local government officials, with Ruan Shijun, Deputy District Chief of Huangpi District, Wuhan, in attendance. The District Commerce Bureau also took the opportunity to present Huangpi District’s investment promotion initiatives.
Li Yuanhua, Vice President of Yuhu Cold Chain and Chairman of its Wuhan and Xiangyang Companies, stated in his address that the Yuhu Cold Chain (Wuhan) Trading Centre has received strong support from provincial, municipal, and district governments throughout its planning and construction phases. With a total investment of 3 billion yuan, the project covers an area of approximately 208,000 sqm including eight modern cold storage facilities, boasting a total storage capacity of 214,000 tons. It stands as the largest, highest-standard, and most fully functional international cold chain food trading base in Central China. To date, over 300 leading domestic and international cold chain food and supply chain enterprises have signed agreements to locate their operations within the Centre, marking the initial formation of an industrial cluster effect. The park has innovatively developed an OMO business model, integrating commerce flow, logistics, capital flow, and information flow, and is committed to building a cold chain food industry ecosystem that covers the whole country and connects with the global market.

Liu Jie, Deputy Director of the Huangpi District Bureau of Commerce, highlighted the region’s industrial development advantages and investment promotion policies. He noted that Huangpi District has maintained the largest county-level economy in Hubei Province for five consecutive years, with total retail sales of consumer goods reaching 83.6 billion yuan in 2024, ranking first in Wuhan. Leveraging national-level transportation hubs such as Tianhe International Airport, New Wuhan Port Cluster, and the Tianhe Station of the Yangtze River High-Speed Rail, Huangpi is accelerating the construction of its dual national logistics hubs with airport and commercial service functions, providing robust support for the development of modern logistics. Liu emphasized that Huangpi will continue to optimize its business environment, offering full-cycle support policies covering business establishment, expansion, excellence incentives, and assistance with IPOs and exhibition participation, fully supporting Yuhu Cold Chain in building an international cold chain food trading hub in Central China.

He emphasized that entered enterprises will benefit from market-competitive rental discounts, storage subsidies, and logistics fee reductions. By leveraging the global procurement network of Yuhu Group, along with its high-standard cold chain infrastructure, professional operational teams, and digital platforms, the company enables businesses to optimize supply chain integration, reduce operational costs, and expand market reach. The Wuhan Trading Centre has established 16 major logistics routes covering over 200 delivery points across Hubei Province, 104 additional points outside the province, and 165 sub-districts within Wuhan’s urban distribution network. For logistics service providers, Yuhu Cold Chain’s smart vehicle management system offers functions such as truck appointment scheduling and intelligent route guidance, significantly improving vehicle turnaround efficiency.

She stated that Yuhu eSource Supply Chain has launched two core products, “eSource” and “Yurong,” which offer high credit limits and low interest rates, covering a wide range of raw materials including imported and domestic pork, beef, lamb, poultry, and aquatic products. Additionally, Yuhu eSource provides services such as international procurement agency, port customs clearance, warehousing and logistics, nationwide warehouse network support, as well as standard certification and guidance for food supplied to Hong Kong.
