On September 29, the 2025 World Guangdong Entrepreneurs Convention, themed “Connecting the World for a Future with Booming Business and Great Innovation,” was held in Guangzhou. The event gathered representatives from industrial and commercial associations and entrepreneurs of Guangdong origin spanning 60 countries and regions, alongside delegates from Fortune Global 500 companies, China’s Top 500 Enterprises, Guangdong’s Top 100 Private Enterprises, central and provincial state-owned enterprises, renowned experts, financial institutions, think tanks, and foreign consular officials in Guangzhou. As one of the key enterprises invited, Yuhu Cold Chain was honored for its active role and outstanding contributions in supporting the Guangdong practice of Chinese modernization. Its subsidiary, Yuhu Cold Chain (Jieyang) was awarded the Guangdong Province Contribution Award for the Brightness Project. Li Bing, Chairman of Yuhu Cold Chain Jieyang, accepted the award at the ceremony.

The convening of this conference is underpinned by a solid policy foundation and practical experience. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government have played vital roles in stabilizing economic growth, stimulating innovation, expanding employment, improving public welfare, and exploring international markets, making significant contributions to the province’s development. During this process, a wide range of non-public sector representatives, new social participants, and private enterprises across the province have closely aligned with the Provincial Party Committee’s “1310” specific deployment (focusing on “One Goal,” energized by “Three Driving Forces,” and striving toward “Ten Major Breakthroughs.”). They have proactively implemented the new development philosophy and actively engaged in the Guangdong practice of Chinese modernization. This has resulted in the emergence of a large number of outstanding builders of socialism with Chinese characteristics who are patriotic, dedicated, law-abiding, innovative, and socially responsible, as well as exemplary private enterprises that actively participate in the Brightness Initiative.

The Guangdong Province Contribution Award for the Brightness Project established by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, aims to recognize exemplary models and set benchmark examples, further motivating non-public sector representatives, new social strata participants, and private enterprises across the province to strengthen their ideals and convictions, cultivate a profound sense of national identity, operate in compliance with laws and regulations with integrity, and actively fulfill social responsibilities. It represents high recognition of private enterprises’ contributions to local development and their commitment to social responsibility.

As the core enterprise in the cold chain food supply sector under Yuhu Group Hong Kong, Yuhu Cold Chain has deeply integrated into the local development framework since establishing its presence in Guangdong. In February 2023, Yuhu Group launched the Jieyang Trading Centre project. This initiative not only serves as Yuhu Cold Chain’s flagship project in eastern Guangdong but also represents another strategic foothold in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, following its initial presence in Guangzhou. After two years of construction and preparation, the fresh produce zone of Yuhu Cold Chain (Jieyang) Trading Centre achieved 100% occupancy and commenced trial operations in May 2025, marking its official entry into the practical phase of supporting local industrial development. The project has become a vital component in Jieyang’s efforts to “advance coordinated urban-rural development” and a key link in the effective implementation of the “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project”.

This award not only recognizes Yuhu Cold Chain’s deep commitment to Guangdong and its contributions to the high-quality development of China’s cold chain industry but also inspires the company to continue drawing on the spirit of Guangdong entrepreneurship. Moving forward, Yuhu Cold Chain will further strengthen its efforts in the cold chain logistics sector, contributing even more to the construction of a modern industrial system in Guangdong and the advancement of Chinese modernization.
