Yuhu Cold Chain (Tianjin) Trading Centre has recently obtained the First-Grade (Three-Star) China Green Warehouse certification, the highest level of national recognition for sustainable warehousing. This achievement brings to eight the number of Yuhu Cold Chain projects that have met the industry’s highest standards for green building.

The China Green Warehouse certification is granted following an evaluation process organized by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing in accordance with the industry standard “Green Warehouse Requirements and Evaluation” (SB/T11164-2016). The certification assesses multiple dimensions including site selection, energy conservation, environmental protection, resource utilization, and waste management, serving as an important indicator of sustainability excellence in the logistics and warehousing sector. The First-Grade (Three-Star) Green Warehouse represents the highest achievement level within this certification system. Notably, the China Green Warehouse standard is recognized by GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark), an international ESG assessment framework, as a qualified third-party green building evaluation system.
Throughout its development, Yuhu Cold Chain has consistently integrated the principles of green development and digital intelligence into the construction and operation of its physical fulfillment network. Currently, Yuhu Cold Chain has deployed a nationwide cold storage network with a total capacity exceeding 2 million tons, encompassing diverse storage types such as fully automated vertical structures, multi-storey warehouses, and high-bay facilities. These are further categorized by functional specialization into supply chain finance warehouses, general trade warehouses, e-commerce fulfillment centres, distribution hubs, and bonded warehouses. Capable of maintaining full temperature ranges from 15°C ambient to -60°C ultra-low temperature, the network also provides customized warehouse modification services to meet specific client requirements.
Compared with traditional cold storage facilities, Yuhu Cold Chain is driving comprehensive transformation through digitalization, significantly enhancing the green and intelligent development level of its cold storage operations. Currently, empowered by over 70 digital solutions including OMS (Order Management System), WMS (Warehouse Management System), and WCS (Warehouse Control System), Yuhu Cold Chain Trading Centres have achieved remarkable improvements in digital intelligence and low-carbon performance: operational efficiency has increased by 15%, goods turnover time has been reduced by 5%-10%, equipment energy consumption has decreased by 25%, and storage and logistics costs have dropped by 20%. Through the dual drivers of “smart centres + green technology,” Yuhu Cold Chain has realized visual monitoring and intelligent scheduling of overall operations, successfully completing the revolutionary transition from “extensive operation” to “precision energy conservation.”
As China concludes its 14th Five-Year Plan period, Yuhu Cold Chain has closely aligned with the “14th Five-Year Plan for Cold Chain Logistics Development” requirements for low-carbon industry advancement. The certification of eight Yuhu Cold Chain Trading Centres as First-Grade (Three-Star) China Green Warehouses demonstrates the company’s commitment to sustainable development and its alignment with national policy direction. Looking forward, Yuhu Cold Chain will continue to promote its green practices, supporting the Plan’s goals of achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality in cold chain logistics while contributing to the establishment of a modern cold chain logistics system.
