On October 31, Yuhu Group Hong Kong and the Xianyang High-Tech Zone government formally signed an investment cooperation agreement to advance the Yuhu Cold Chain (Northwest) Trading Centre project. As a core area of the "Xi'an Metropolitan Circle," Xianyang boasts seamless connectivity with Xi'an and strategic positioning as a gateway to western regions. The project will not only serve as a landmark cold chain initiative driving Xi'an-Xianyang integration but also establish a modern international cold chain food trade hub radiating across Northwest China and connecting with the Belt and Road Initiative.

The signing was witnessed by Zhang Xiaoguang, Vice-Chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; Xiao Da, head of the Shaanxi Branch of Bank of China; Leng Jinsong, Party Secretary and Mayor of Xianyang, who also chairs the city’s CPPCC; Jia Minliang, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the CPC High-tech Zone Committee; and, from Hong Kong Yuhu Group, Chairman Huang Xiangmo and President Guo Limin. The investment agreement was formally signed by Zhong Huihong, President of Yuhu Cold Chain, and Cui Wei, Director of the Xianyang High-tech Zone Administrative Committee.

Zhang Xiaoguang, Vice Chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met with Huang Xiangmo, Chairman of the Board of Yuhu Group Hong Kong.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Ye Xinjie, Vice Mayor of Xianyang. In his address, Deputy Secretary Jia Minliang praised Yuhu Group as a highly respected overseas Chinese enterprise and industrial leader, noting that its Yuhu Cold Chain subsidiary has set new benchmarks in the industry through its advanced operational models, stringent quality control, and powerful global network. He described the agreement as a collaborative effort between government and enterprise to foster development and a significant step in Xianyang's expansion and energy accumulation. The next phase will see the municipal government dedicating the greatest sincerity, the finest service and the highest efficiency to the project's timely launch, completion, and operational success.

Deputy Secretary Jia Minliang of Xianyang Municipal Committee Delivers Speech

In his address, Yuhu Group President Guo Limin first expressed gratitude to the Xianyang Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, as well as the High-tech Zone Party Working Committee and Administrative Committee for their strong support of Yuhu Cold Chain's Northwest project. He highlighted that Xianyang's seamless connectivity with the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration and Xi'an metropolitan circle provides access to vast markets and resources. As the starting point of the Silk Road, the city inherently positions Yuhu Cold Chain's Northwest project to serve as a link in the Belt and Road Initiative, laying a solid foundation for building future cold chain food trade channels to Central Asia. He further stated that the Northwest project will be developed with four functional zones: international cold chain food trading, cold chain storage, comprehensive processing, and supporting services. The project aims to establish a world-leading modern international cold chain hub integrating frozen food storage, exhibition, trading, auction, processing, distribution, logistics, and strategic reserves, thereby driving local industrial upgrading and high-quality economic development.

Yuhu Group President Guo Limin Delivers Speech

Prior to the signing ceremony, Zhang Xiaoguang held discussions with Huang Xiangmo and his delegation regarding the Yuhu Cold Chain Northwest Project. Zhang fully affirmed Yuhu Cold Chain's role in promoting the development of the cold chain industry and requested the Xianyang Municipal Party Committee and Government to provide comprehensive support for the Yuhu Cold Chain (Northwest) Trading Centre project. Zhang emphasized that as the first national-level metropolitan area in Northwest China, the Xi'an Metropolitan Circle must fully leverage its radiating and driving effects to become a "locomotive" for regional development. He noted that the Yuhu Cold Chain (Northwest) Trading Centre project not only represents a major initiative for Xi'an-Xianyang integrated development but also carries the important mission of coordinating regional development. Regarding project advancement, he instructed relevant leading departments to solidly ensure factor guarantees, accelerate project construction, and use the project's development to drive high-quality regional growth, aiming for early project results and industrial clustering. Huang Xiangmo stated that Yuhu Cold Chain would advance the Northwest Trading Centre project with an open and collaborative approach. The company will leverage its strengths in strong execution capabilities and high resource integration while actively coordinating with local governments, agricultural enterprises, and industry partners to build a mutually beneficial cold chain ecosystem. Through rapid project advancement and efficient operation, the project will lay a solid foundation for long-term industrial revitalization and economic development.

The event was attended by senior officials including Gao Yongke, Secretary-General of the Xianyang Municipal Committee, Yu Jianfeng, Secretary-General of the Xianyang Municipal Government, and He Youming, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government. Also present were heads of key municipal departments covering industry and information technology, natural resources, housing and urban-rural development, transport, agriculture and rural affairs, commerce, and investment promotion, along with principal officials from the Xianyang High-tech Zone Administrative Committee and its relevant departments. Representing Yuhu Group were Director Jiang Wensheng and senior executives including Yang Tao, Li Wenjin, Zhu Hongliang, and Zhang Xiaojun from Yuhu Cold Chain.
