Amid the current trend of “mainland brands going global and premium overseas products accelerating entry into China,” global enterprises are actively tapping into the Chinese market. The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2025, attracted over 4,108 overseas exhibitors from 155 countries/ regions and international organizations, setting a new record in exhibition area. Against the backdrop of this global trade event, Yuhu Group and the Hong Kong Fish Marketing Organization (FMO) held a framework agreement signing ceremony in Hong Kong on November 5, officially announcing Yuhu Group as the strategic partner for promoting the “Premium Hong Kong Fish” brand in mainland China.

Mr. Au, General Manager of the Hong Kong Fish/Vegetable Marketing Organization, and Holly Huang, Executive Director of Yuhu Group, signed the partnership agreement on behalf of both parties. This collaboration marks a joint commitment to help Hong Kong’s fisheries enterprises expand into the mainland market, enhance the brand influence and market competitiveness of “Premium Hong Kong Fish,” and usher in a new chapter in fisheries cooperation between the two regions.
As an international port city, Hong Kong boasts a well-developed fisheries management system and advanced aquaculture technology. The Fish Marketing Organization operates seven wholesale markets across Hong Kong, providing efficient and orderly distribution services for fishermen and buyers. Through its fisheries product processing center, the FMO promotes the standardization and branding of local fish products, continuously enhancing the market influence of “Premium Hong Kong Fish.” Under the guidance of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) of the Hong Kong SAR Government, local aquaculture implements strict management and food safety standards through the “Accredited Fish Farm Scheme,” establishing comprehensive farming records and traceability systems. Every stage, from feed and breeding to testing and market launch, is strictly monitored to ensure the products are healthy, safe, and fully traceable. Thanks to scientific aquaculture and rigorous regulation, Hong Kong’s fisheries industry has established a brand advantage centered on “high quality and peace of mind.”

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Au, General Manager of the Hong Kong Fish/Vegetable Marketing Organization, stated that this partnership will leverage the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) to bring premium Hong Kong fishery products into the mainland market, opening a new chapter for fisheries cooperation between the two regions. He highlighted that the premium fishery products promoted by the FMO come from rigorously regulated farms in Hong Kong with robust traceability systems, emphasizing health, nutrition, and high quality. Mr. Au expressed sincere gratitude for Yuhu Group’s trust and support, noting that this collaboration will not only boost product sales but also deepen economic and trade ties between the mainland and Hong Kong, helping Hong Kong’s fisheries industry reach broader markets.
Holly Huang, Executive Director of Yuhu Group, remarked that Yuhu Group will leverage its comprehensive strengths in cold chain logistics, trade services, and supply chain management in mainland China. Relying on Yuhu Cold Chain’s nationwide market presence and resource network, the group will carry out deep cooperation in trade promotion, customs services, supply chain management, and order fulfillment, jointly driving the “Premium Hong Kong Fish” brand’s expansion in the mainland market.
The “Premium Hong Kong Fish” products promoted this time include Australian jade perch, eastern spiny lobster, blue-spotted grouper, flowery eel-tailed catfish, stone shrimp, red snapper, mullet, Yang’s flower catfish fillet, and tilapia, among other premium varieties. These products are known for their delicate flavor and rich nutrition, catering to mainland consumers’ pursuit of healthy eating and high-quality living. As consumer demand in the mainland upgrades, “Premium Hong Kong Fish,” with its high standards and strong reputation, will demonstrate greater potential in the high-end dining and boutique retail markets, becoming a symbol of quality and credibility. The signing of this framework agreement represents a significant step by Yuhu Group to support premium Hong Kong agricultural and fishery products in entering the mainland market, while also building a new bridge for food trade cooperation between the two regions. At this year’s CIIE, Yuhu Group will prominently showcase and promote “Premium Hong Kong Fish” at its booth. Going forward, both parties will continue to deepen cooperation, promote Hong Kong fishery brands and more premium aquatic products in the mainland, and provide consumers with a richer, safer, and higher-quality selection of Hong Kong seafood.
