On the morning of January 6th, arranged by the local government, Meaghan Shaw, Consul-General of the Australian Consulate-General in Chengdu, and Martin Ferreyra, Commercial Consul and Commercial & Investment Commissioner, led a delegation to visit Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Centre for inspection and exchanges.
Relevant leaders from the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Qingbaijiang District, the Administrative Committee of the Economic and Technological Development Zone, the District Bureau of Commerce, as well as key officials of Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., accompanied the delegation on the site visit.

The delegation gained a detailed understanding of Yuhu Cold Chain's national strategic layout and the operational achievements of the Chengdu Trading Centre since its opening a year ago. Leveraging its innovative online-merge-offline (OMO) business model, Yuhu Cold Chain has built a full-chain service system encompassing domestic and international procurement on behalf of clients, smart warehousing, trunk line logistics and distribution, and supply-chain finance empowerment. To date, it has attracted over 600 leading companies in the industry to settle in. Consul-General Meaghan Shaw expressed appreciation for Yuhu Cold Chain's rapid development in the Chinese market, its innovative practices, and its role in facilitating Sino-foreign trade and exchanges.
In the subsequent exchanges, Consul-General Meaghan Shaw focused on the cooperation opportunities in China-Australia trade. Both parties conducted in-depth discussions on how Yuhu Cold Chain can empower import and export businesses, as well as the prospects for further promoting the development of cold chain food trade between China and Australia.
As a key node city radiating across Western China, Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Centre aims to further expand the trade of Australian Angus beef and Wagyu beef, and increase the supply of premium seafood such as chilled salmon, frozen tuna, live lobsters, and live abalones. By leveraging the facility and service advantages of Yuhu Cold Chain's national network of trading centres, it will help Australian suppliers and importers expand into the Chinese market more conveniently. Meanwhile, Chengdu's premium fruits, vegetables, and specialty ingredients are expected to be sold to the Australian market through international buyers.

Over the past 25 years since its establishment, Hong Kong Yuhu Group has formed a full-chain enabling industrial investment portfolio covering three core strategic business segments: cold chain assets and smart technology, fishery and agricultural investment & operation as well as supply chain management, and complex development & operation. Since engaging in the fishing and export of Australian lobsters and abalones in 2015, it has established a stable supply chain covering seafood, beef, mutton, and red wine, becoming an important bridge connecting high-quality food trade between China and Australia.
At the same time, Hong Kong Yuhu Group is actively building a global modern cold chain network. Its layout has now expanded to regions such as the United Kingdom, France, and Singapore. The group aims to utilize international logistics channels to create a two-way cross-border food supply chain system, continuously improve the convenience of international cold chain food trade, and promote the healthy development of food production and trade.
