On January 19, the Aquatic Products Zone of Yuhu Cold Chain (Jieyang) Trading Centre and Jieyang International Agricultural Products Trading Centre officially kicked off its soft opening. As another key pillar for people's livelihood security, the zone will leverage an integrated full-chain service system to drive the efficient circulation of regional agricultural products and effectively support the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.

Platform Launch: A New Chapter for Regional Aquatic Products Circulation
Boasting multiple advantages including a superior geographical location, leading scale, complete supporting facilities and policy support, Yuhu Cold Chain’s Jieyang Trading Centre – a key project at both the provincial and municipal levels – is steadily advancing the strategic implementation of its full-category agricultural products trading centre. From the successful soft opening and subsequent 100% occupancy rate of the Vegetable Zone in May 2025 to the trial operation of the Aquatic Products Zone today, the Jieyang Trading Centre is gradually moving toward its goal of building a full-category agricultural product circulation platform for Jieyang.

The Aquatic Products Zone of the Jieyang Trading Centre has nearly 400 booths, with nearly 100 merchants settling in for the first phase, offering a rich variety of aquatic products including fish, shrimp, crabs and shellfish. A dazzling array of aquatic products are neatly arranged in the brand-new, bright and clean booths. On the first day of the soft opening, the market bustled with business as buyers flocked in, recording over 2,000 vehicle trips for procurement on the day. During the soft opening period, the trading centre provides merchants with efficient integrated operational support and 24/7 round-the-clock service guarantees to facilitate their smooth business operations, creating a convenient and efficient trading experience for both buyers and sellers.
Full-Chain Guarantees: Comprehensive Empowerment from Technology to Services
Relying on the Group’s resource advantages and the innovative online-merge-offline (OMO) business model of "online transactions and offline fulfillment", Yuhu Cold Chain’s Jieyang Trading Centre has not only drastically reduced food material loss for settled merchants across links from source breeding and cultivation to agricultural product processing through improved supporting services, professional operation and management, and digital and intelligent empowerment, but also further expanded their sales channels, helping them scale up market transactions and boost trading vitality. Going forward, this model will also empower the aquatic product category, creating greater value for both merchants and buyers.

"We started moving in and setting up our booths during the daytime, and all the fresh seafood was on the shelves by the early morning, ensuring that the first batch of buyers at the market can purchase the freshest aquatic products," said a merchant specializing in deep-sea fish while arranging his stall.
"Merchants in the Vegetable Zone have seen steady business growth since moving in, which has shown us the platform value and strength of Yuhu Cold Chain’s Jieyang Trading Centre and strengthened our confidence in operating here," said a merchant engaged in freshwater fish business. "Our grass carp, tilapia and topmouth culter were almost sold out today – this platform will definitely help us explore a broader market."

"I have been purchasing vegetables here for a long time, thanks to their fresh quality and reliable safety. So I am also assured of the storage conditions in the aquatic products zone. Now I can buy red grouper, little spiny lobster and cream crab all in one stop, instead of rushing between multiple markets like before," said Mr. Chen, a catering purchaser.
Regional Empowerment: Driving Industrial Upgrading and High-Quality Development
As the second trading centre laid out and put into operation by Yuhu Cold Chain in Guangdong Province, the Jieyang Trading Centre covers a total area of approximately 472 mu. Integrating the circulation of fresh agricultural and sideline products, international cold chain food trading, Chaoshan characteristic catering culture experience, cold chain food processing and smart warehousing and logistics, the trading centre is committed to building a full-category agricultural product supply chain system.

As a key industrial project for implementing the "Million Project", the Jieyang Trading Centre serves as a crucial node connecting agricultural products from "farm to table". With the gradual commissioning of the project, Jieyang’s agricultural products are realizing the transformation and upgrading from "fresh at the origin" to "fresh for the world". Upon the full operation of the trading centre in the future, it is expected to serve nearly 1,000 upstream and downstream enterprises in the agricultural product circulation industry chain. It will attract the concentrated settlement of local agricultural product circulation and processing enterprises through industrial agglomeration, extend the Chaoshan agricultural product industrial chain, and give full play to Yuhu Cold Chain’s unique advantages of the OMO business model of "online transactions and offline fulfillment" and digital and intelligent operation. Striving to build a traceable fresh agricultural product trading platform, the trading centre will effectively enhance Jieyang’s influence and competitiveness in the regional economy, support the standardized and branded development of Jieyang’s characteristic agriculture and fishery, and continuously inject new impetus into the high-quality development of the regional economy and agricultural modernization.
