On 27 July, Hao Huijie, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Xi'an Municipal Committee, met with a delegation led by Huang Xiangmo, Chairman of Yuhu Group (Hong Kong). The two sides held in-depth discussions on advancing the Yuhu Cold Chain Xi'an project and supporting the upgrading of the cold chain industry in northwest China.

On behalf of the Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Hao welcomed Huang and his delegation. He noted that Xi'an — a national central city and an important node city along the Belt and Road — has deep historical and cultural roots, rich scientific and educational resources, and a solid industrial base, and is now at a critical stage of accelerating urban development, upgrading infrastructure, and building a modern industrial system. Xi'an is currently stepping up the construction of a national backbone cold chain logistics base, serving as a key hub on the Shandong–Shaanxi–Tibet corridor, one of the country's “four-horizontal, four-vertical” backbone cold chain corridors. He expressed hope that the two sides would establish a strategic partnership and continue to deepen practical cooperation in three areas:

• First, working together to accelerate the development of the Yuhu Cold Chain (Xi'an) Trading Centre project, helping to bridge the gap in cold chain logistics infrastructure in western China.
• Second, leveraging the strength of the China–Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) to further open up the “Central Asia and Europe–Xi'an–Northwest China” import cold chain corridor. This will help build a two-way cross-border cold chain system and support the development of the China–Europe Railway Express economic zone.
• Third, expanding cooperation in agricultural product import and export trade, food manufacturing, and related fields.

Xi'an will continue to foster a market-oriented, law-based, and internationalised business environment, and provide comprehensive support and high-quality services for enterprises.

Huang Xiangmo gave an overview of the Group's history, development, and future direction, and thanked the Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their recognition and support. He said Xi'an enjoys distinct locational advantages and enormous development potential, and that the Group has full confidence in its investment plans there. Yuhu will align closely with Xi'an's development needs, leverage its end-to-end cold chain supply chain strengths and its role as an anchor enterprise, and drive the clustering and growth of upstream and downstream businesses — supporting high-quality development of Xi'an's trade, commerce, and logistics industry.

Key officials from relevant Xi'an municipal departments and senior executives from Yuhu Group also attended the meeting.
