On 21 September, a delegation from the Singapore Retailers Association (SRA), led by Executive Director Stephen Sing, visited Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Centre for discussions on efficient supply chain connectivity and trade cooperation.
The delegation brought together over 30 business leaders from food manufacturing, large-scale retail, neighbourhood convenience chains, engineering services, management consulting, and e-commerce. Representatives from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore Management University (SMU), and relevant departments of the Qingbaijiang District Government, Chengdu, accompanied the visit.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Trading Centre and spoke highly of its modern facilities, professional operations, and standardised management systems.
Jiang Wensheng, Chairman of Yuhu Cold Chain Sichuan, briefed the delegation on Yuhu Cold Chain's strategic positioning and nationwide network, as well as the Chengdu park's role and operational strengths. He said Yuhu Cold Chain is building an international food trading platform that integrates import and export trading, cold chain warehousing, and processing and distribution. Through the SRA, he added, the company hopes to build closer collaboration with Southeast Asian businesses and jointly drive the high-quality development of regional trade and distribution.
Delegation members noted that Singapore, as a major global trading hub, has a mature retail network and stringent food safety standards. They hope to leverage Yuhu Cold Chain's strategic presence across Greater China to connect supply chains efficiently and draw on each side's complementary strengths.
Founded in 1977, the Singapore Retailers Association is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental industry body with over 570 members, whose combined annual revenue exceeds SGD 30 billion. The association has long worked to safeguard the interests of the retail sector, drive digital transformation and talent development across the industry, and expand international trade cooperation — helping reinforce Singapore's position as a regional trade and retail hub. As a member of the Federation of Asia-Pacific Retailers Associations (FAPRA), the SRA has broad influence across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific retail sector.
