On 23 September, a delegation led by Zhong Xiaolong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone Committee and Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of Tianjin Tianbao Holdings Limited, visited Yuhu Cold Chain's headquarters and met with Huang Xiangmo, Chairman of Yuhu Group (Hong Kong). The two sides held strategic cooperation talks covering cold chain logistics, supply chain finance, industrial facilities, and digital platform development.

Huang welcomed the delegation and outlined Yuhu Group's development and Yuhu Cold Chain's strategic footprint. Over 26 years, he noted, Yuhu Group has built three strategic areas: Cold Chain Assets and Advanced Technology; Agri-food Investment, Operations and Supply Chain Management; and Integrated Complex Development and Operations. Since its establishment in 2020, Yuhu Cold Chain has supported China's national food safety strategy and the dual-circulation strategy, building a presence in core hub cities nationwide. All 10 of its smart trading centres have been selected as provincial key projects. Five projects hold 10 national-level designations. The Nanjing project is the only foreign-invested logistics and trading enterprise in nearly a decade to be named a national landmark major foreign-funded project.
Yuhu Cold Chain operates an innovative Online-Merge-Offline (OMO) business model that integrates online trading with offline delivery. Its in-house Yuhu Code traces every product from source to delivery. Its Yuhu Buyin online trading platform provides full visibility, traceability, and data-driven management. Together, they give clients a one-stop, end-to-end digital supply chain service. Transaction volumes continue to grow at the parks in trial operation. The company has helped develop several international standards, strengthening China's voice in the global cold chain industry. All of its parks are rated First-Grade (Three-Star) Green Warehouses, reflecting its commitment to green, low-carbon development. Huang said Yuhu looks forward to combining strengths with Tianbao Holdings to drive the high-quality development of Tianjin's cold chain industry.
Zhong then introduced Tianbao Holdings. The company is wholly state-owned and belongs to the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. It holds dual AAA credit ratings as both an urban development investor and an industrial investor, and its total assets exceed RMB 167 billion (approximately USD 24.7 billion). Its businesses cover regional development and operations, logistics and supply chain, industrial finance, and emerging sectors. The logistics and supply chain arm draws on resources across Tianjin's seaport, airport, and Lingang areas. It offers end-to-end port logistics, international freight forwarding, and customs clearance and inspection services. The industrial finance arm holds the most comprehensive set of financial licences of any Tianjin state-owned enterprise. The group also holds a controlling stake in Tianjin Air Cargo, which provides premium dedicated transport for chilled and fresh products. Zhong said the two companies' businesses are highly complementary. He hoped they could cooperate in practical ways on warehousing resources, supply chain finance, air routes for chilled and fresh cargo, and digital platforms.
Both sides agreed there is broad room for cooperation. Yuhu Cold Chain brings a mature order and supply network and end-to-end trading services. Tianbao Holdings brings local warehousing, port, and financial resources in Tianjin. The partners will follow three principles: practical delivery, two-way resource empowerment, and shared, controllable risk. They will set up a dedicated task force and advance cooperation in three phases:
- Short term: Prioritise matching warehousing resources and launching supply chain finance products.
- Medium term: Jointly develop air routes for chilled and fresh cargo, processing operations, and a digital platform.
- Long term: Build a regional cold chain trading service ecosystem in Tianjin, fill the gaps in the city's frozen goods trade services, and establish Tianjin as the core cold chain trading hub for northern China.
Senior executives from Tianbao Holdings and its subsidiaries attended the meeting, including Li Zhen, Member of the CPC Committee and Deputy General Manager of Tianjin Tianbao Holdings. Zhong Huihong, President of Yuhu Cold Chain, and other senior Yuhu Cold Chain executives also attended.
